Nickolas Clark, O.D.

“Dr Nick”, a proud Iowa Hawkeye fan, was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, before moving to Cedar Falls to attend the University of Northern Iowa. While in Cedar Falls, he earned his Bachelor's Degree with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. After graduating from UNI in 2003, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee to attend Southern College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2007. He also completed clinical externships in Belleville, Illinois and at the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital in Bethel, Alaska. While in Alaska he had the opportunity to provide eye care to remote villages in Southwest Alaska that ordinarily would not be able to receive care.

Dr. Nick enjoys community service and has been a member of the Lions Club and the Pearisburg Rotary. He has also taken part on mission trips to Guatamala with Impacto Ministry to help those with vision needs around the world. He is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association. When not working, he enjoys water skiing, woodworking, and running marathons and other races. He is also a member of the Hokie Flying Club and you can often find him spending time up in the clouds.
