Our History
Drs. Nick and Jacqueline Clark met while both were students at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating in 2007 with their Doctor of Optometry degrees, they married and moved to Nick’s home state of Iowa where they enjoyed their time in the Quad Cities. They created Clark Family Vision and had two practice locations, one in Iowa City, Iowa and another in Davenport, Iowa.
Nick, Jacqueline and their three boys moved back to Dr. Jackie’s home state of Virginia and in 2013, Dr. Jackie and Dr. Nick purchased the practice of Dr. Daniel Bowling who was retiring from his optometry career. The practice located on Tazewell Street in Pearisburg had been in existence since 1980. In 2017, a second location in Christiansburg was added and our name changed from Pearisburg Eye Associates to Clarity Eye Care in order to unify the two offices.
Since then, Clarity Eye Care has continued to grow and evolve. We have added numerous staff members and doctors, moved our Christiansburg office to a larger location, added a dry eye clinic, and are continually proud of the care and service we provide. Our success is only as big as the happiness of our patients. No matter how large we grow, we strive to continue the small town care you know and expect from our office.

Nickolas Clark, O.D.

Dr. Abigail Williams was born and raised in Tazewell County, Virginia.
