COVID - 19 Office Updates

In accordance with the guidelines provided by the AOA, CDC, and the Governor of Virginia, we have resumed routine services at this time. We will also be continuing to care for patients with ocular emergencies or urgent needs. However, with this return to routine care we will be implementing the following procedures to help keep our staff, doctors, and patients as protected as possible:

*If you have glasses that need to be picked up, repaired, or replaced, we ask that you call from your vehicle once you arrive to our office and when possible, we will assist you curb side.

*Contact lenses will be mailed to your home free of charge with the purchase of a 6 month supply or more. If you have contact lenses that are currently in need of pick up from our office, please call for assistance to arrange curb side pick up only. Orders may also be placed over the phone.

*If you have a cough, cold, fever, undiagnosed respiratory illness, known exposure to someone infected with COVID-19, or have been diagnosed or have suspected COVID-19 yourself we ask that you do not enter our building. Please call our office for instructions on how to best assist you.

*Due to the reduced volume of patients allowed in our office, we ask that you give at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. This allows other patients who truly need an appointment to fill available examination slots. A no show fee of $40 will be charged if notice of cancellation is not provided.

*A mask or face covering will be required to enter our office. We also ask that you come unaccompanied to your visit unless you are a parent accompanying a minor.

*All surfaces, eyeglasses, and equipment will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each patient. We are reducing the number of patients in our office at any given time to encourage social distancing and to allow for additional time needed to sanitize between each patient visit.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this overwhelming and challenging time. These new procedures are essential to protect you, as much as it is to protect all of our healthy patients and staff.
